Introducing Our Legacy Tree: A Living Tribute to Our Community
Our Legacy Tree is more than just a donor wall—it’s a lasting symbol of generosity, recognition, and connection. Inspired by the majestic baobab tree, known as the “tree of life,” this stunning installation will be a permanent fixture on our campus, honoring the individuals and families who support our mission.
Designed by Frank Pierce of Eye Candy Gallery in Downtown Southern Pines, the Legacy Tree pays homage to our community’s ancestors while embracing the unique spirit of our campus. Spanning an entire wall in a high-traffic area of the museum, it stands 10 feet tall and 24 feet wide—an impressive testament to the generosity of those who make this vision possible.
Each name etched into the Legacy Tree represents a commitment to shaping our future, creating a beautiful and tangible way to celebrate donors at six distinct sponsorship levels. Whether honoring a loved one or leaving your own mark, this meaningful display ensures that every contribution becomes a lasting part of our story.
Legacy Tree: Flower

Legacy Tree: Cardinal
We are happy to add the state bird of North Carolina, the cardinal, to our Legacy Tree! There are 24 cardinals available to add to our Legacy Tree at $2,500 each.
Legacy Tree: Butterfly
The Butterfly was added to pay homage to the butterfly garden on the campus of the West Southern Pines Center. There are 50 butterflies available to add to our Legacy Tree at $1,000 each.
Legacy Tree: Purple Bloom
The baobab tree has varying colors of blooms. Our tree will have a purple bloom as part of its design. There are 100 purple blooms available to add to our Legacy Tree at $500 each.
Legacy Tree: Pink Bloom
The baobab tree has varying colors of blooms. Our tree will have a pink bloom as part of its design. There are 200 pink blooms available to add to our Legacy Tree at $250 each.
Legacy Tree: White Bloom
